Having a little fun with your wedding vows is one way you can brighten the ceremony’s mood and add personality plus affection. Like this:

Groom: I promise to love and cherish you as much as I do our dog, Spot. From this day forward, I will lint roll the chairs whenever your parents visit. Literary Quotes Or Readings As an Intro

When you’re writing your own vows, why not turn to the best authors for your inspiration? Couples have used quotes from Dr. Suess to Rilke for unusual vows. We’ve chosen a particular favorite from Richard Bachman:

While it’s typical for brides to be inspired by films for ceremony inspiration, sometimes the grooms want to include their favorites, too. It doesn’t have to be cheesy if you’re both sincere (and enjoy it). Look at these Star Wars vows to see what we mean:
